Catherine Carleton – Founding Director

A city lawyer turned recruiter, Catherine is a regarded expert in the legal field of recruitment. Well versed in the appointment of high calibre lawyers of all levels, across a range of practice areas, into leading London law firms and in-house. Formerly a senior consultant at an independent recruitment boutique, recruiting for some of the biggest names in the City.

During her career Catherine is proud to have worked with a variety of law firms from UK magic circle and silver circle, to West End, US, and niche firms. Prior to moving into the recruitment industry, Catherine trained and qualified as a lawyer at leading UK and international law firm, Penningtons Manches Cooper, thereafter joining the property litigation group of City practice, Taylor Wessing. For a recruiter Catherine has first-hand knowledge of fee-earning, the demands and requirements thereof, giving her a privileged and unique perspective and understanding which she can offer to clients and candidates.

Kate Gravelle – Consultant

Kate joined the team at Carleton Legal in January of 2022 having previously been engaged as an in-house recruiter with international law firm, Taylor Wessing. Prior to working within the legal sphere Kate worked for a well-known international legal recruitment agency where she cut her teeth on the end-to-end recruitment process. Kate has a sound knowledge of the legal sector, has a comprehensive command of recruitment processes, is well versed in management of the full recruitment cycle, and has a sympathetic understanding.

Laura Bradburn - Personal Assistant

Laura joined Carleton Legal as Personal Assistant to Catherine and Kate in September 2023. Laura has over 20 years of PA experience within the legal sector, starting her career at Eversheds Sutherland LLP. She has worked across a variety of sectors providing PA support and also assisting and running national events, client pitches, marketing and managing a team of support staff. During her career, Laura has won awards for managing successful client relationships. Laura supports Carleton Legal on a day-to-day basis ensuring that the team and the business run effectively.
